Here's a cool ad from Chris Gurney for Japanese green tea brand, Kurosae, using Capoeira floreios to add some energy to the  footage. Below are some video notes on the ad.

2010 Re-launch for sub brand of Sokenbicha. Kurosae (trans. 'Black Sharp') is an ultra strong Oolong tea targeted for men. Set within the world of the label we used capoeira as a visual metaphor to deliver the product message of strong, sharp, and refreshing.

Produced for PBS's EGG Art Series by Little Big Pictures, this energetic clip features Mestre Jelon and Capoeira Luanda from what we're guessing to be the early 2000s.  If you look closely, you can see New York's Professor Tiba when he was a Monitor, Denver's Instructor Gaviao when he was an orange cord (one cord below Monitor in the Capoeira Brasil cord system), and Equipe Jo Capoeira's Contra-Mestre Jo when she was a Professor.  Enjoy!

Editor's note: The reason everyone is wearing a Grupo Capoeira Brasil logo on their abadas is because this footage was shot before Mestre Jelon and Contra-Mestre Jo formed their own groups.

The Dance Institute of Philadelphia was featured on NBC's The 10! Show to talk about their Capoeira Angola program which is part of dip's summer series of dance disciplines for kids.  The program looks great and the kids look super enthused!

Oddly enough, everything is exactly like the title says. Enjoy!

The Vh1 show, The Price of Beauty with Jessica Simpson, visited Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and had an encounter with a Capoeira roda on the beach (video above).  A link to the complete episode is below.

LCM in Marseilles, France aired a piece on Capoeira featuring Capoeira Brasil with Formados Ze Pequeno and Juruna. The video looks pretty cool, but unfortunately it's in French with no subtitles - more motivation to learn French!

Australian television network Special Broadcasting Service, or SBS, launched series of movement inspired idents among them Capoeira.  Stylized by Natasha Harrington of FLIPP media boutique who specialize in lifestyle inspired images.  Above is the Capoeira ident, but be sure to check other movement clips like ballet, Indian dancing and breakdance on FLIPP's vimeo channel - they're all pretty fresh.
